Are you the realtor?

As stated earlier, I was the Broker / Owner of my own company.  I have been on your side of the fence.  You knock your brains out to get those signatures down on paper and now you face the possibility of starting to renegotiate the changes.

Many Realtors favour their own inspector.  They know what to expect.   Sadly there are inspectors out there who will write ‘Soft Reports’ to keep the Real Estate Agents happy!

I am not one of those Inspectors!

I will however explain the problem to the client and I will include in my report how, as a homeowner / buyer I would handle the issue.

All homes have issues.  Most issues however can be handled openly, fairly and in most cases without great expense.

There are exceptions of course and these should have been handled during a Presale Inspection.

Most Realtors do have the best interest of their client at heart and guess what?  That is the same client that I, as a Home Inspector am working for!
